Enumclaw got off to a fast start when Hornet Captain Jack Pugh scored on the Hornets' first possession, 14 seconds into the game.  The Hornets were ahead 4-3 midway through the opening period when Senior Captain Bryce VanHoof scored on a power play, and again on Enumclaw's next possession to take a 6-3 lead with 2:30 left in the quarter. VanHoof scored two more, and Kentridge's Jake Davies scored one in the final two minutes of the quarter, for an 8-4 Hornet advantage.

Kentridge outscored Enumclaw 3-2 in the second period, for a 10-7 Enumclaw lead at halftime. The teams traded goals in the third quarter, when Senior Quinn Warner fouled out with 1:33 left in the period; VanHoof scored on a tip in the last second, to give the Hornets a 14-10 lead going into the final period.

Kentridge rallied in the final quarter, outscoring the home team 4-3 in the first four minutes, when Pugh fouled out with 2:52 remaining. Kentridge scored four in the remaining time, while holding the Hornets scoreless, for the 18-17 Kentridge win.
