Puget Sound Polo Offers Brenda Villa Clinic

Puget Sound Polo will host four-time Olympian Brenda Villa in a girls water polo clinic on Saturday, March 8 at Curtis High School, in University Place, WA.  The clinic will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and cost $125 per athlete.

Brenda Villa (born April 18, 1980) is an accomplished American water polo player. She is the most decorated athlete in the world of women’s water polo, and was named Female Water Polo Player of the Decade for 2000-2009 by the FINA Aquatics World Magazine.


Auburn Pool Hosts Olympian Genai Kerr

The Auburn School District water polo teams will host Olympian Genai Kerr as he puts on a Nike 5 Meter Water Polo Camp on March 1 & 2, 2014.

Genai Kerr is a USA Water Polo Olympian, coach, mentor, and true ambassador of the sport.  Genai was a member of the United States Men's National Water Polo Team for 12 years and played in the 2004 Athens Olympics, 2003 & 2007 Pan American Gold Medal games, and multiple World Championships.  He is one of the only athletes in history to compete internationally as a goalie and as a field player.  Most recently he was named MVP of the 2012 US Open after he helped Newport Water Polo Foundation win the national championship.  Genai has coached at every level, from age group to Division 1 college programs. 

The camp will cost $100, and will run from 2:30-6:00 on Saturday, March 1, and 9:00-4:00 on Sunday, March 2.  It will take place at the Auburn School District Pool, 516 4th street NE, Auburn, WA.  For more information, look online at 5meter.com/Seattle, or contact Enumclaw coach Bob Averill at bobaverill@earthlink.net.
