Enumclaw Improves to 16-6 with Win Over Jags

The EHS Boys Water Polo Team traveled to Puyallup on Thursday, October 30, and came home with a 16-5 win over the host Emerald Ridge Jaquars.

Eight Hornets scored in the win, led by Senior Captain Bryce VanHoof, with five goals. Senior Captain Jack Pugh added two, as did senior Quinn Warner, junior Even O'Neill, and freshman Ethan Horan. Sophomores Brett Butler and Jayson Bates each scored a goal, along with freshman Adam Percival. Senior Austin Kaehn and freshman Nathan March split time in the goal; each gathered four saves.

Dawson Cory and Isaac Flores each scored two for Emerald Ridge, and JT "Jedi" Hamel scored one for the Jags.

The Hornets finished league play with a 7-3 record, claiming third place in the East Division. Enumclaw's overall record is 16-6. The Hornets have one regular season game left, traveling to Rogers High School in Puyallup next Thursday, November 6 for a 7:15 non-league game against the Rogers Rams.

The Hornets open post-season play in the Region I Championships at Rogers High School on Friday, November 7 at 5:30 against the West Division's second place team.
