State Tournament Opens Thursday

Competition begins on Thursday, November 13, at the 2014 Washington State Boys Water Polo Championship, hosted at Curtis High School, 8425 40th Street W., University Place, WA.

Eight teams have qualified for the tournament, after advancing from the Regional Tournaments held last weekend at Rogers High School, and Curtis High School.

Thursday's games begin at 3:30. when teams from Bainbridge Island and Mercer Island face off in game one. Game two is scheduled to start at 5:00, and pits defending State Champion Bellevue against Region I Champion Wilson. Curtis and Auburn Mountainview square off in game three, at 6:30, and the day's competition ends with game four, at 8:00, when Kentridge faces Region II Champ Roosevelt.

All teams will play each day of the tournament, but Thursday's winners will advance to the tournament's semi-final games, at 6:30 and 8:00 on Friday. The winners of Friday's semi-final games will face off in the Washington State Championship Game, at 7:00 on Saturday.
