Bellevue Wins Fourth Straight State Title

For the fourth straight year, the Bellevue High School Boys Water Polo Team clinched the Washington State Boys Water Polo Championship. Bellevue claimed the title with an 8-6 win over the Curtis Vikings, on Saturday, November 15, at the Curtis Aquatic Center in University Place, WA.

The Wolverines led throughout the Championship Game, taking a 2-0 lead in the first period, on goals by Josh Rehder and Cameron Hayes. Bellevue outscored Curtis 2-1 in the second period, for a 4-1 halftime lead. Hayes scored both of Bellevue's second quarter goals. Zack Rossman scored two for Bellevue in the third period, and the Wolverines led 6-2 going into the final frame. Curtis outscored Bellevue 4-2 in the fourth, but the Wolverines held off the Vikings to claim the Championship; Rossman scored Bellevue's fourth quarter goals.
