State Championship Results, Day Two

Day Two of the Washington State Boys Water Polo Championship was completed on Friday, November 14 at Curtis High School in University Place, WA, and the two teams vying for the championship on Saturday have been determined.

Bellevue beat Mercer Island 11-9 in Friday's first semi-final game to earn a trip to Saturday's Championship Game, and Curtis beat Roosevelt 7-6 in the day's second semi-final for the chance to face the Wolverines in the Championship.

Friday's Results:
Wilson 6, Bainbridge Island 3
Auburn Mountainview 14, Kentridge 6
Bellevue 11, Mercer Island 9
Curtis 7, Roosevelt 6

Auburn Mountainview will face Mercer Island in Saturday's first game, at 10:00, and Wilson and Roosevelt will play in the second game at 11:30.  The winning teams of Saturday's first two games will play for third and fourth place at 5:00.  The two losing teams will play for fifth and sixth place at 3:00. Bainbridge Island and Kentridge will square off at 1:00 to determine the State's seventh and eighth place finishers.

The Championship Game, featuring Bellevue and Curtis, will conclude the tournament at 7:00 Saturday night.
