The Enumclaw High School Girls Water Polo Team improved their league record to 6-2 with a 17-8 win over Bonney Lake on Friday, April 17 at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center. The Hornets overall record improved to 11-2.
19 Hornets saw action in the game; eight scored, while 13 had attempts. Scoring for Enumclaw were Erin Stucker with four goals, Lindsay Bowden and Brooke Flaquinti with three goals each, Kaitlyn Korsch and Tianna Hogan with two each, and Breanna Flaquinti, Annie Birklid, and Alina Van Ruff with one goal apiece.
Starting goalkeeper Shaye Hogerhuis grabbed eight saves and three assists in first-half play. Backup keeper Rose Johnson gathered seven saves in the second half.
For Bonney Lake, Alex Ellis scored three, Kirsty Moore scored two, and Jasmine Eliason, Courtney Fisher, and Ashley Alvarez each scored one.
The Hornets next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, at Gig Harbor High School, at 10:00 a.m.
