Enumclaw High School senior swimmer and water polo player Isabella Davenport signed her National Letter of Intent to swim at Alderson-Broaddus College on Tuesday, April 30.

Overlooking the picturesque Tygart River Valley in Philippi, West Virginia, Alderson-Broaddus College has been providing a quality education for its students for 140 years.  Deeply rooted in the liberal arts, Alderson-Broaddus College is a health-related and professional educational institution. Alderson-Broaddus College is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA, and the West Virginia Baptist Convention.

Davenport earned four varsity letters with the EHS Swim & Dive Team and three with the EHS Water Polo Team.  She also holds the Enumclaw High School swimming record in the 100-yard breaststroke, at 1:09.89.

Davenport was awarded the EHS Swim & Dive Team 110% Award and Most Inspirational Swimmer Award during her senior season, and earned the Coaches’ Award as a sophomore.  In water polo she earned All League Honorable Mention honors as a junior.

She also competes year-round with the local swim club, Rainier Foothills Swim Team (RFST), and works as a lifeguard at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center.

As a Running Start student, Davenport will graduate from Enumclaw High School in June with an AA degree from Green River Community College.  She plans on studying Nursing at Alderson-Broaddus College.

Davenport is the daughter of Kirk and Dana Davenport, of Enumclaw, WA.
