Auburn Riverside won the 2:15 game over Auburn to earn the Ravens a fifth place finish, and the Trojans sixth. Lakes came out ahead in the Lakes-Rogers game, to put Lakes in the top three in just their second year fielding a team.

Kyle Peart of Wilson earned the tournament's Offensive Most Valuable Player Award, and Skyler Loth of Curtis earned the Defensive MVP Award. Lakes coach Mike Wallen was voted Coach of the Year by the tournament's competition committee.

State Tournament Results – Day Two

The second day of the Washington State Boys Water Polo Tournament ended with defending State Champion Curtis High School and Wilson High School winning their semi-final games and advancing to Saturday's championship game

The day's action started with a rematch between Auburn Riverside and cross-town rival Auburn Mountainview. The two split their regular season series with one win each. In Saturday's rubber match, Riverside came out on top with a 11-5 win over the Lions.

In Friday's 4:45 contest the Auburn Trojans beat Emerald Ridge 10-3, and at 6:00 Curtis beat host team Rogers in the first semi-final game, 11-3.

Friday's second semi-final game between Lakes and Wilson was the closest game of the day, with the score tied four times during the first three quarters of play.

Lakes took the lead early and held a 2-1 advantage at the end of the first period, but the game was tied at five goals each at halftime. The game was tied late in the third period when Wilson took the lead for good, at 8-7, on a penalty shot with 1:16 left in the quarter.

Both teams made scoring runs during the final quarter, but Lakes was never able to close the lead. Wilson held off the Lancers for the 14-11 victory.

Saturday's first game is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. between Lakes and Auburn Riverside. Auburn will face Rogers in the second game, scheduled for 11:15. The winners of the first two games will face each other at 3:45 to determine the third and fourth place finishers.

At 12:45 Auburn Mountainview and Emerald Ridge will square off in a game to determine seventh and eighth place, and at 2:15 the losers of the day's first two games will play for fifth and sixth place. After the 3:45 game for third and fourth place, the Championship Game is scheduled to start at 5:30, pitting Wilson against defending State Champion Curtis High School.
