Day Two of Regional Tournaments

Girls water polo season enters the second day of Regional Tournament play on Saturday, with four teams already clinching State berths. In the Region I tournament, Gig Harbor and Newport have won their way to the Regional Championship Game on Saturday, and clinched berths in next weekend's State Tournament.

In Region II, Curtis and Puyallup have advanced to Saturday's Regional Championship Game, qualifying both teams for State.

The first two games at each tournament on Saturday will have the four teams that lost their opening round games playing for the opportunity to continue. The losing teams in those games will be eliminated from post-season play.

The third and fourth games of the day will include teams that lost Friday's second round of play, and will also be loser-out games. The Regional Championship Game at each site will be at 4:30, and the games for 3rd place/4th place are scheduled to start at 6:00.

The top four teams from each Regional tournament will advance to the State Tournament.
