The Enumclaw High School Boys Water Polo Team lost their second league game of the season in a home game Thursday afternoon, October 7.
Wilson got off to a fast start, scoring three goals in the first quarter, to take a 3-0 lead into the second period. Hornet Bennon VanHoof scored 11 seconds into the second quarter, to close the lead to 3-1 at halftime.
The third period saw more offense, with Wilson adding four goals, and Enumclaw scoring twice in the quarter. The Hornets challenged Wilson in the fourth period, adding two goals, but the Rams held off the home team, and added one goal of their own, for the final 8-5 score.
Scoring for the Hornets in the loss were VanHoof, with three goals, and Garrett Hall and Zach Petersen with one goal each.
The Hornets travel to the Tahoma Pool tomorrow to face Kentridge in another league game. The Hornets are 5-2 in league play, and 6-3 overall, and are in second place in the East Division.
