The Enumclaw Hornets Boys Water Polo Team beat Auburn Riverside 11-5 on Tuesday, October 5 at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center.
Riverside kept the game close during the opening quarter, with a 2-2 tie after six minutes of play. Hornet Goalkeeper Josh Musick gave the Hornets the lead at 3-2 on a shot from the Enumclaw goal with 22 seconds left in the period.
The Enumclaw defense limited the Ravens to one goal each period for the remainder of the game, while the Hornet offense added multiple goals each quarter. Scoring for Enumclaw were Bennon VanHoof with four goals, Travis Culp, Zach Petersen, and Josh Musick with two each, and Garrett Hall with one goal.
The Hornets are tied at first place in the East Division, with five league wins and one loss. Enumclaw faces co-leader Wilson on Thursday afternoon at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center.
