The EHS Boys Water Polo Team beat Kentridge, 10-7, on Friday, October 8, at the Covington Aquatic Center. The win improves the Hornets record to 7-3, with a league record of 6-2.
The Hornets scored quickly, with goals by Thomas Petersen and Travis Culp in the first quarter, but Kentridge got on the board with two minutes left in the period. The Hornets kept scoring, adding two goals in the second quarter, and five in the third, and held the Conquerers to two more goals in the third period. The Hornets took a 9-3 lead into the final period.
Kentridge played tough in the fourth quarter, scoring four, while Enumclaw added one, for the 10-7 final.
Scoring for Enumclaw were Bennon VanHoof and Garrett Hall, with four goals each, and Travis Culp and Thomas Petersen with one each. Goalkeeper Josh Musick had 15 saves and five steals in the win.
The Hornets host league rival Auburn Mountainview on Tuesday, October 12, in a 4:30 game at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center.
