The EHS Boys Water Polo Team finished their regular season on Friday with a 16-10 win over Peninsula.
The Hornets started all six seniors – Josh Musick, Travis Culp, Garrett Hall, Zach Petersen, Will Skelley, and Cory Larsen – in the field, and junior Braden Dedrick in the goal. Enumclaw got off to a slow start, with Peninsula scoring five goals in the opening period; Hornet Garret Hall scored two, and goalkeeper Josh Musick, playing in the field, scored one in the first quarter.
Enumclaw got organized in the second and third quarter, outscoring the Seahawks 7-4, to take a 10-9 lead into the final quarter. The fourth quarter was all Enumclaw, led by Garrett Hall's four goals, and a goal each by Will Cooper and Logan Ross. Peninsula added one more for the 16-10 final score.
The Hornets will continue play next week, at the South Sound State Water Polo Tournament, held Thursday through Saturday, November 4-6, at Rogers High School, in Puyallup, WA. The Hornets open play on Thursday against Curtis, at 3:30.
