The Wilson Rams beat the Enumclaw High School Girls Water Polo Team in the first round of consolation games of the Washington State Water Polo Tournament on Thursday, at Lakes High School.
The two teams played even through much of the game, with the score tied 3-3 at halftime, and 7-7 with less than two minutes left, but Wilson scored twice in the last minute to clinch the win over the young Hornet squad.
Megan Lesmeister scored three goals for the Hornets, all in the final quarter. Senior Bella Davenport and sophomore Bailey Secton each scored two.
The Hornets will face Stadium at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday to determine 11th and 12th place in State.
