Enumclaw High School senior
swimmer and water polo player Isabella Davenport signed her National Letter of
Intent to swim at Alderson-Broaddus College on Tuesday, April 30.
Overlooking the picturesque Tygart
River Valley in Philippi, West Virginia, Alderson-Broaddus College has been
providing a quality education for its students for 140 years. Deeply rooted in the liberal arts,
Alderson-Broaddus College is a health-related and professional educational
institution. Alderson-Broaddus College is affiliated with the American Baptist
Churches, USA, and the West Virginia Baptist Convention.
Davenport earned four varsity
letters with the EHS Swim & Dive Team and three with the EHS Water Polo
Team. She also holds the Enumclaw
High School swimming record in the 100-yard breaststroke, at 1:09.89.
Davenport was awarded the EHS Swim
& Dive Team 110% Award and Most Inspirational Swimmer Award during her
senior season, and earned the Coaches’ Award as a sophomore. In water polo she earned All League
Honorable Mention honors as a junior.
She also competes year-round with
the local swim club, Rainier Foothills Swim Team (RFST), and works as a
lifeguard at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center.
As a Running Start student,
Davenport will graduate from Enumclaw High School in June with an AA degree
from Green River Community College.
She plans on studying Nursing at Alderson-Broaddus College.
Davenport is the daughter of Kirk
and Dana Davenport, of Enumclaw, WA.
