The EHS Girls Water Polo Team improved their league record to 3-1 with a convincing 20-4 win over the visiting Peninsula Seahawks on Thursday afternoon at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center.
The Hornets got off to a fast start, with a goal by center Annie Birklid 18 seconds into the game, and three goals in the next two minutes, by Ali Ballard, Erin Stucker, and Hannah Kinniburgh. By the end of the opening quarter, Enumclaw led 7-1.
Enumclaw got scores from all of their available field players, led by senior Ali Ballard and junior Hannah Kinniburgh, with thee goals each. Also scoring for the Hornets were Bella Davenport, Allie Larrea, Katie Larrea, Annie Birklid, and Alexis Firlotte with two goals apiece, and Kelsey Sonneson, Erin Stucker, Alina VanRuff, and Logann Erskine with one each.
The Lady Hornets travel to Puyallup on Friday to face Rogers, in a 3:30 contest.
