The Enumclaw Boys Water Polo Team finished the week with four wins in a row, to improve their season record to 4-1, and their league record to 2-0.
After beating Auburn Riverside on Tuesday, and Auburn on Thursday, the Hornets traveled to the Auburn Water Polo Tournament on Saturday, where the boys from Enumclaw beat Peninsula 12-1 in a 1:40 contest, and beat the Auburn Riverside Ravens 12-7 at 4:20.
Against Peninsula, Bryce VanHoof led the Hornet scoring with six goals. Jack Pugh scored four, and Jayson Bates and Quinn Warner each scored one. Senior goalkeeper Austin Kaehn registered 11 saves. Six Hornets grabbed a total of 15 steals.
Five Hornets scored in the 4:20 game against Auburn Riverside, again led by VanHoof's six goals. Bates and Pugh each scored two goals, and freshmen Kyle Morgan and Nathan March each added a goal. Kaehn had six saves; he and VanHoof tallied five steals each. Additionally, Pugh had three steals, Ethan Horan and Warner gathered two each.
The Hornets travel to Renton's Lindbergh High School on Tuesday to face Kentridge in an 8:15 game. Next weekend the Hornets play in the Emerald Ridge Tournament at Puyallup's Rogers High School.
