The Enumclaw High School Boys Water Polo Awards Banquet will be held next Monday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the EHS Commons.

State Tournament Results – Day Three Wrap-Up: Wilson Wins State Championship
The Washington State Boys Water Polo Tournament concluded on Saturday with a new State Champion. The Wilson Rams beat the Curtis Vikings 10-7 in the championship game.
Earlier in the day, second-year team Lakes beat Auburn Riverside 16-10 in the first game of the day, and Rogers beat Auburn in the second, to advance Rogers and Lakes into the afternoon's game for third and fourth place.

The day's action started with a rematch between Auburn Riverside and cross-town rival Auburn Mountainview. The two split their regular season series with one win each. In Saturday's rubber match, Riverside came out on top with a 11-5 win over the Lions.
In Friday's 4:45 contest the Auburn Trojans beat Emerald Ridge 10-3, and at 6:00 Curtis beat host team Rogers in the first semi-final game, 11-3.
Friday's second semi-final game between Lakes and Wilson was the closest game of the day, with the score tied four times during the first three quarters of play.
Lakes took the lead early and held a 2-1 advantage at the end of the first period, but the game was tied at five goals each at halftime. The game was tied late in the third period when Wilson took the lead for good, at 8-7, on a penalty shot with 1:16 left in the quarter.
Both teams made scoring runs during the final quarter, but Lakes was never able to close the lead. Wilson held off the Lancers for the 14-11 victory.

State Tournament Schedule Announced
The Washington State Boys' Water Polo Tournament schedule has been announced. Playing in this year's tournament will be Curtis, Lakes, Rogers, and Emerald Ridge from the West Division, and Wilson, Auburn Riverside, Auburn, and Auburn Mountainview from the East Division.
Play will begin on Thursday, November 5, at 3:30. All teams will play on each of the three days of the tournament, with four games played on Thursday and Friday, and six games played on Saturday, concluding with the Championship Game at 5:30 on Saturday, November 7.
The tournament will be held at Rogers High School Aquatic Center, 12801 18th Street East, Puyallup. Ticket prices will be $7 for adults, or $4 for students with ASB cards. A tournament pass, good for admission for all three days, is available for $18 for adults, or $9 for students with ASB cards.
Tournament at King County Aquatic Center
The Pacific Northwest United Water Polo Club will be hosting a tournament this weekend at the King County Aquatic Center, in Federal Way, WA. Playing in the tournament will be boys high school teams from Bellevue, Newport, Mercer Island, Bainbridge Island, Roosevelt, and Shorewood.
Play starts on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.; Saturday's final game is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. On Sunday, the first game will start at 9:00 a.m. and the final game will start at 3:00 p.m.
All teams competing in the KCAC tournament are USA Water Polo club teams, and all members must be current USA Water Polo members.

Enumclaw Beats Kentridge in Final Game
The Enumclaw High School Boys Water Polo Team played their final game of the 2009 season on Wednesday, an informal scrimmage against the Kentridge Chargers at the Covington Pool, and came home with a 12-10 victory.
Scoring for Enumclaw were Garrett Hall with four goals, Travis Culp with three, Logan Ross and Bennon VanHoof with two goals each, and Shane Jackson with one.
The Hornets finished their 2009 campaign with a 8-10 record overall, 4-8 in league play.
The Hornets may have one more opportunity to play, in a tournament at Central Washington University in Ellensburg on November 14. Details are pending.
