Hornet Bennon VanHoof scored in the first minute of play, to put the Hornets up 1-0. Riverside scored midway through the opening period, to tie the game, but senior captain Travis Culp put Enumclaw ahead for good with a goal late in the first quarter.
The Hornet offense increased their lead in the second quarter, with three goals by VanHoof, and two by senior captain Garrett Hall. Enumclaw held a 7-2 lead at halftime. Hall and VanHoof each added a goal in the third period, to give the Hornets a 9-3 advantage after three quarters.
Riverside rallied in the final quarter, scoring five, but couldn't make up the Hornet lead. Sophomore Mason Culp added to the Enumclaw lead early in the period, for the final Hornet score.
The Hornets close out the regular season on Friday, against Peninsula, before heading to the state tournament next week, at Rogers High School in Puyallup.
